I was diagnosed with cancer midway through my sons senior year of high school. It was my mission to make sure I was still here on this planet to see my first born graduate from high school. It was an emotional day for all of us.

hi Monica,, sorry to hear about your cancer.
One thing that i would like for you to understand about your husband and your son, about not understanding you,,, I know that cancer can surely scare a person,, but do not that fear overcome your life or you.. The reason that your husband or son do not understand is because they have not been through it themselves.. No one can understand unless they have been in your shoes..
You may find my hard on this but when i went thought my cancer in 2006 and will be going though the chemo again very soon , has not scared me,, but instead i have learned to accept it and my life has been for the better because of it…I am not saying that it has been easy, because it has not, but instead I truly learned to put my trust in my God… and because of it i have had a good life… one thing is for sure,, my wonderful wife worried about it so much but she is a real prayer warrior … and so i trusted that His will be done within me, no matter if i die or if i am to live… It makes life so much easier for all of us
So God bless and we shall keep you in our prayers
Keep your chin up and be positive about it Ok
I understand how you felt. When I had cancer the first time my twin daughters were juniors in high school. I was determined I would be around to see them graduate. They will be 32 in November. THANK GOD.
My love, thoughts and prayers are with you.
